Local favorite that doesn't disappoint. Hush puppies (regular/spicy) are served early & as a standard side with all entrees. Coleslaw is fresh, crisp, & plentiful. They're known for the fried catfish & hush puppies, but the coleslaw should be added to the list. The catfish is cornmeal battered, moist, & tasty. Service was friend & swift. Well priced & no nonsense food with great wait staff. A little out of the way, but well worth the trip.

What can I say about this little place way out in the country we went to go visit family and Quitman Mississippi and a lot of people told us about this place and how their food was so good. A gentleman was passing our truck As we were getting out and told us that we came a long way for fish because we have Texas License plates lol The One thing I can say about the food and the people out in the country they always give you nice Southern hospitality. The fish, shrimp and their famous cold slaw was the bomb also our waitress Elishia ( Please forgive me if I spelled your name wrong) So if you're out in these neck of the woods stop by and give them a try you won't be disappointed Thank you Long fish camp for your hospitality Ps. They have a goldfish sitting on the counter his name is 13, ( This is how many fish they have gone through so far), so say Hi if it's 14, they're working on a new one

We stopped in Sunday evening on our way back from Brutons Branch and are glad we did. It was our first visit here, and the ride alone, once you leave the Interstate is worth a trip to Longs, then you'll get the bonus of enjoying some great Catfish, and Shrimp, with a special shout out for their Hushpuppies. My only complaint is that I had to live less than an hour away for almost 30 years before discovering such a hidden jem. Long's will now be our goto supper stop when we're headed home out of the Meridian area, not to mention it will be an evening destination ride on our scooter, as the ride from Union Falls down in The Free State of Jones up thru the backroads to and from there, are some of the best South Mississippi had to offer. In closing, if you find yourself heading up or down I-59 between Laurel, Ms. & Meridian, Ms., and you not only want a great meal, but also an awesome ride thru the country, then by all means watch for that Enterprise exits 134 & 137 are the ones you want to watch for, though you could get on Hwy 11 at anytime, just to enjoy seeing some of the beauty, South Mississippi has to offer, and see how folks traveled before I-59. Last but not least, Long's is open till 8 p.m. on Sundays. I forgot, all of the mounted animals scattered throughout the building make the place even better. My favorites were the Rattlesnake, Turkey, Big Ole Catfish, and Lynx, though there are many more. Of Course the Big Ole Cat sleeping on the bench, is the icing on the cake.
